How were you called for the Olympiad? Did you get surprised?
I was in my classroom when a teacher of mine called me and my friends. We went to the director’s office and the director said we were going to win a present. She said we were approved for the second round of the Olympiad. I started to cry with happiness. Then I came back to my classroom and everybody applauded me.
What was your family’s reaction?
Their reaction was cool. It was my sister’s birthday. I arrived home and told everybody I was approved for the second round of the Olympiad. They got surprised. My mom said congratulations and gave me my sister’s cake. My uncle became even happier, because he has been looking after me since I was a child. He said I was overcoming myself.
How did you prepare yourself for the competition?
I accessed the Olympiad’s website. It had a lot of math accounts that helped me to practice for the competition.
How was the test? Was it difficult for you?
It was difficult. It had a lot of questions that I didn’t know. It seemed like the test was made for more advanced students. At that moment, I just thought about doing the best I could. I’m anxious for the result.
How Crea+ helped you during you preparation for the Olympiad?
Crea+’s teachers were the ones that helped me most. They helped me with the things I didn’t know. They helped me with the math accounts. I printed exercises from the Olympiad’s website and they taught me how to resolve them. If I could say something [to them], I would say thank you.
Do you think Crea+ has been helping to improve your performance at school too?
Yes, I do. The Crea+ isn’t just a common day at school. It really seems a particular school. Its teachers help me a lot. The school was so great too when it brought Crea+ here.
What do you like most in Crea+?
I like the cooking classes. The Crea+ is a family in which one helps each other. At school we always fight with each other. But at Crea+, it seems like everybody acts like siblings.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a doctor, because it is a profession that helps people. I want to stay away from math.
